PTCL Group Wraps Up GAMEKEY Arena, Its Largest E-Sports Gaming Tournament, in Lahore

On the final day of the biggest E-sports tournament held at Nishtar Park Sports Complex, Lahore, Team AGONxi8 Esports defeated Team PUBG MOBILE from Pakistan to win the grand prize.

AGONxI8 achieved a 3X Miracle first-place win with a combined 38 kills by combining 3X ESPORTS and 52 additional ESPORTS. Third and second-place finishes combined with the Last team standing earned them 52 ESPORTS total. These were the best PUBG MOBILE teams battling it out over 15 maps for first place.

The E-Sports GameKey

Thanks to the PTCL Group’s creation of the E-Sports GameKey platform, participants were able to enjoy one-stop access to all popular online games. More than 700 teams from PUBG MOBILE took part in the qualifying rounds on the platform, which is available through all data providers in Pakistan.

Popular Pakistani singer Shamoon Ismail provided an energetic musical performance at the end of an awards ceremony. Winning contestants and runners-up received money from the PTCL Group, which came from PKR 3,000,000 contributed by the group. In exchange for this money, second-place competitors received PKR 550,000 and PKR 300,000 from the group.

Each winner received a cash prize of PKR 30,000 or PKR 20,000. The second-place finisher earned PKR 50,000 for being the fragger with the highest score.

Amir Pasha, the head of CSR, Public Relations, Corporate Communication, and Media at PTCL, spoke at the event. He believed that Pakistan has a lot of untapped potential for E-Sports. Thanks to PTCL and Ufone 4G, young and experienced players will have a suitable platform to test their talents. The GameKey Arena tournament gives both professional and amateur players an opportunity to test their skills against the best. This helps them to grow and succeed as professional players.

The organizers have planned a nationwide festival named Ufone 4G and PTCL’s GameKey Arena for the GameKey tournament.

The PTCL Group’s game tournament GameKey Arena was considered a huge success by the Pakistani community. They considered this event a huge step forward in supporting the Pakistani gaming community. The matches were watched live by nearly half a million spectators through the Ufone 4G network. Additionally, many PUBG MOBILE fans tuned into the event via streaming apps on their phones.
